PNB marks 124th anniversary with blood donation camps across India


On the occasion of 124th foundation day, Punjab National Bank organised blood donation camps across 200 blood donation centres

New Delhi, April 14, 2018: On the occasion of 124th foundation day, Punjab National Bank (PNB) organised blood donation camps across 200 blood donation centres in 76 circle offices covering over 6500 branches across all states and union territories.

Sunil Mehta, MD and CEO, PNB in the presence of senior PNB officials in association with the Red Cross Society of India and AIPNBOA (All India Punjab National Bank Officers Association) inaugurated the camp at PNB Head Office in Dwarka. The blood donation drive resulted in over 15,000 units of blood being donated. A large number of local staff members voluntarily came forward to participate in this initiative. The Bank has been organising blood donation camps for over 20 years as part of its CSR (corporate social responsibility).

PNB also continues to discharge its social responsibilities and addresses environmental concerns. The Bank supports various societies, charitable institutions and NGO /organisations working for the benefit of downtrodden, weaker sections of society. It also contributes for fighting diseases like diabetes, tuberculosis, AIDS, leprosy among others.
